Legal and Compliance Officer

About the role

ACE & Company is seeking a Legal and Compliance Officer to join its Fund Finance and Operations team in Cairo. You will support the firm’s investment activities by managing legal documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting with tax reporting for investors.

Key responsibilities

• Review and manage NDAs, streamlining information sharing with third parties.
• Assist with KYC/AML compliance for investment funds and their investors across multiple jurisdictions.
• Verify and maintain FATCA and CRS tax documentation from investors and support related filings.
• Establish offshore bank accounts for investment SPVs and funds.
• Draft and review service agreements, transfer agreements, and subscription documents.
• Support due‑diligence investigations on prospective investments, coordinating with external legal advisors.
• Prepare board resolutions and ensure adherence to corporate governance and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate law and/or compliance, preferably within a financial environment.
• Hands‑on experience with KYC/AML processes for investment funds.
• Familiarity with FATCA and CRS reporting is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in law (English or French section).
• Fluent written and spoken English; French is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and document‑review skills.
