About the role
The Local Purchasing Specialist will source, evaluate, and purchase local food and non‑food products for the restaurant business, ensuring quality, cost‑effectiveness and timely delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Identify reliable local suppliers, obtain and compare quotations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times and minimum order quantities.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, coordinate with sales, operations, warehouse, finance and quality teams, and monitor delivery performance.
- Maintain the approved supplier database, monitor market trends for cost‑saving opportunities, and support inventory planning.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce or related field.
- 3–5 years of purchasing/procurement experience in the restaurant or franchise industry.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ERP/procurement systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
