MEA Brand Manager

About the role

Mars is looking for a Brand Manager in Cairo to act as a brand custodian responsible for designing and executing the local brand strategy and marketing activities that meet specific brand objectives, including NSV and penetration targets aligned with the global framework. The role also involves building an optimal local market calendar and ensuring excellent execution on the ground.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze category and brand performance, identify whitespace opportunities and set short- and long-term brand strategy
• Create and develop the local market brand marketing plan and activity calendar, and manage budget and resources
• Work with cross-functional teams to build an integrated business plan and with the SRM team to define channel price points and recommend price increases
• Develop and manage a 3-year innovation pipeline, balancing locally developed innovations from local factories with relevant global launches
• Deliver market-relevant brand content through creative judgment and storytelling, in line with global brand guidelines
• Collaborate with creative agencies, the content team and the media manager to run campaigns and set the local media strategy, including digital and social media
• Co-lead with the activity management team a cross-functional ATG team to deliver a 3-year end activity plan covering media plans, NPIs, BPI consumer promotions and national activities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's is a plus
• 5-6 years of experience in brand management, preferably in a multinational consumer packaged goods (CPG) company
• Proven track record of owning and growing large-scale brands
• Experience developing full-funnel marketing plans including media, in-store and digital activations
• Experience in complex matrix organizations and with cross-functional teams
• Experience across innovation pipelines and product development cycles, ideally balancing global and local innovation
• Regional experience in the Middle East and Africa, with a focus on GCC/Egypt, is a plus
