Merchant Acquisition Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Merchant Acquisition Specialist to join Waffarha and drive the growth of our merchant network. In this role you will identify, onboard and nurture relationships with small‑to‑medium merchants, ensuring a steady flow of attractive offers for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Source, approach and sign up new small‑to‑medium merchants across various channels such as social media, personal connections and visits.
• Maintain active engagement with existing merchants, updating offers and ensuring compliance with discount plans.
• Review competitor discount structures and negotiate competitive deals that align with customer needs and profit objectives.
• Analyze and test merchant offers, verify all required documentation, and keep records up to date.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand merchant requirements and act as a liaison to resolve concerns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
• 1–3 years of sales experience, preferably in e‑commerce or retail.
• Strong communication, negotiation and networking abilities.
• Excellent time‑management, organizational and analytical skills.
• Dynamic, outgoing and energetic personality.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word.
