.NET Developer (Desktop Applications)

About the role

VAES.ai is looking for a passionate .NET developer to join its growing team in Cairo. The role focuses on desktop applications and involves working with the core engineering team to design and develop tools that improve the efficiency of building elements.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to implement best coding practices, including unit testing and code optimization.
• Help design and develop tools that enhance building element efficiency.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and refine software features.
• Deliver scalable, high-performance software solutions.
• Take part in the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
• Bring a strong sense of visual design and user utility to the development process.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of programming experience, including 2 years with the .NET (Core, Runtime) framework for desktop applications.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
• Proven ability to design, build and maintain scalable software systems.
• Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms and system optimization.

Required skills

• C# and .NET Core; Python is a plus.
• MVVM pattern and WPF.
• API integration; RESTful API design is a plus.
• Analytical mindset, attention to code quality, performance and reliability.

Nice to have: startup or agile development experience, exposure to geometry tools or concepts, and interest in engineering or architecture-related applications.
