Ocean Freight Commercial Specialist

About the role

First Global Logistics is seeking an Ocean Freight Commercial Specialist to drive growth in its sea‑freight business across major trade lanes. Based in Cairo, you will own the commercial side of the desk, building relationships with clients and carriers while delivering profitable sales.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new ocean freight business and expand existing accounts.
• Negotiate freight rates, surcharges and contracts with shipping lines.
• Maintain and grow relationships with carriers, including direct liner contacts.
• Coordinate with overseas agents and manage cross‑border logistics operations.
• Provide pricing intelligence and market analysis to stay competitive.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in ocean freight, either in a forwarding company or a shipping line.
• Established network of contacts with shipping lines and overseas agents.
• Strong commercial mindset with proven sales and negotiation results.
• Fluent or very good English communication skills.
