Accounting Manager – Egypt

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead regional accounting operations across several Middle East markets, ensuring consistent application of accounting standards and robust financial controls. This role offers the chance to combine strong accounting leadership with broad regional exposure in a fast‑paced, highly regulated industry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end accounting processes for multiple entities, guaranteeing compliance with IFRS, local statutes and internal policies.
• Own monthly, quarterly and annual financial close, delivering accurate and timely reporting.
• Supervise local accounting teams, promote standardized practices and enforce controllership discipline.
• Review journals, accruals, provisions, pre‑payments and reconciliations for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain balance‑sheet ownership, resolve aged or complex items, and oversee payables, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, intercompany, payroll and tax balances.
• Provide technical guidance on complex transactions and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Identify and drive process improvement, automation and ERP control enhancements.
• Coach and develop accounting talent across the region, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA) highly desirable.
• 6‑8 years of progressive accounting or controllership experience.
• Big 4 audit or advisory background strongly preferred.
• Experience in a multinational or regional organization.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
• Proven track record managing financial close, audits and internal controls.
• Leadership, analytical and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
