Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the month‑end close process, ensure compliance with accounting policies, and support the finance team in delivering accurate financial results. This senior position reports to the Finance Director and works closely with the CEO on strategic financial initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the month‑end close, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop, enforce, and continuously improve accounting policies and procedures.
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
• Manage annual and quarterly external audits and coordinate with auditors as needed.
• Oversee internal audit requirements for the accounting function.
• Handle taxation and tax inspection matters in collaboration with external tax consultants.
• Prepare project‑specific month‑end reports and ensure smooth report flow.
• Supervise all payment transactions, including ACH, wires, and paper checks.
• Oversee data entry, validation, and processing of invoices (overhead, subcontractor, travel reimbursements).
• Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable, and project accounting functions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Egyptian accounting standards.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Forward‑thinking mindset with strong business acumen and customer‑centric attitude.

Required skills

• Extensive experience with ERP accounts‑payable systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and local Egyptian accounting standards.
