Chief Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and detail‑oriented Chief Accountant to lead our accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The role involves overseeing daily accounting activities, guaranteeing compliance with Egyptian standards, and providing strategic financial analysis to support management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and overall financial performance.
• Supervise and support the accounting team.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare and submit tax returns, VAT reports, and other statutory filings.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management.
• Improve accounting procedures and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good command of English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferred).
