Construction Manager – Architecture

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead architectural projects from conceptual development through final construction. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client technical and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage staff and activities related to construction and maintenance of structures.
• Review technical specifications and select appropriate construction methods.
• Coordinate delivery of materials and equipment to meet project schedules.
• Monitor resource utilization to stay within budget.
• Collaborate with Scheduling, Technical Office, Quality Control, and Safety teams to define effective work procedures.
• Track sub‑contractor schedules, resolve delays, and ensure compliance with the master schedule.
• Oversee selection and performance of trade sub‑contractors and general contractors.
• Address technical issues from shop drawings and negotiate subcontractor modifications.
• Implement actions for weather, emergencies, or other construction site disruptions.
• Guide the construction team on health, safety, quality, productivity, and resource use.
• Work with Project Control, Quality Control, and Safety managers to maintain schedules, quality plans, and safety plans.
• Represent the project in client or consultant meetings to clarify requirements and propose solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction projects from concept to completion.
• Strong knowledge of technical standards and safety codes in architecture.
• Ability to coordinate multiple internal departments and external sub‑contractors.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for schedule, resource, and site issues.
• Effective communication with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
