Director, Product Building

About the role

Camunda is creating a new sub‑division, Camunda Experience, that owns the entire experience layer on top of its orchestration platform. As Director, Product Building you will lead this fast‑moving, AI‑first product area, overseeing a team of roughly 25 builders organized in small pods.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Camunda Experience sub‑division end‑to‑end, managing three Pod Leads and a total of ~25 builders.
• Define and execute the strategy for the experience layer, including the Camunda Hub, client SDKs, AI‑native builder experience, AI skills, and orchestration cluster integrations.
• Partner with Strategy Product Managers to set long‑term direction and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Establish and operate the Builder model, enabling rapid, AI‑driven product discovery, development, shipping, and maintenance.
• Deliver the first generation of products, starting with a revised Camunda Hub and AI‑native builder experience.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in product development, preferably within AI, automation, or orchestration platforms.
• Track record of building and scaling cross‑functional product teams (product management, design, engineering).
• Strong understanding of AI‑first product development and high‑throughput production pipelines.
• Ability to work in a fully remote, global environment and drive results quickly.
