Electrical Tender Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Tender Engineer to lead the preparation of electrical tenders, cost estimates, and technical proposals. You will work closely with engineering, procurement, and planning teams to deliver competitive and accurate bids for commercial and residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare electrical cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Analyse quantities, materials, labour, and equipment requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and planning teams.
• Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions.
• Identify risks, exclusions, and value‑engineering opportunities.
• Clarify technical points with clients and consultants.
• Support post‑tender negotiations and clarifications.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience as an Electrical Tender Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and effective time management.
• Experience with commercial and residential electrical projects.

Required skills

• Cost estimation and BOQ preparation.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of local electrical codes and standards.
• Advanced MS Excel and proficiency with MS Office.
• Basic procurement and vendor evaluation.
