About the role
ABB is seeking an Export Sales Specialist to drive growth for its Automation Business Area in Egypt and across North and Central Africa. The role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen to expand market share, revenue, and customer satisfaction in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve qualitative and quantitative sales targets, ensuring sustainable order growth and profitability.
- Manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation to order placement—both technically and commercially.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date sales forecast and pipeline using Salesforce and other ABB tools.
- Develop and nurture relationships with EPC contractors, OEM partners, and solution builders.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adapt sales strategies.
- Oversee channel partner management and create business plans for new sales channels.
- Ensure compliance with ABB sales guidelines, HSE standards, and export trade regulations.
- Travel to African countries for customer visits and events, covering more than 50% of sales time.
Required profile
- Engineering bachelor’s degree (e.g., Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in field instrumentation, process analytics, and export business.
- Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a strong plus for the region.
- Proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, MS Teams, and ERP systems (Oracle or SAP).
Required skills
- Field instrumentation (EMF, PT, TT, Level measurement).
- Process analytics (continuous gas analysis, Gas Chromatography, FTIR).
- Salesforce CRM.
- Oracle or SAP ERP.
- MS Office suite, SharePoint, MS Teams.
