Firefighter & Plumber (Full‑time, On‑site)

About the role

Competent is seeking a dedicated professional to join its team in Cairo as a Firefighter & Plumber. This full‑time, on‑site position combines fire safety duties with plumbing maintenance to protect people, property, and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular fire safety inspections and checks.
• Respond promptly to fire emergencies and operate firefighting equipment.
• Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, fixtures, and drainage.
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on both fire‑related and plumbing installations.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and codes.
• Document incidents, inspections, and maintenance activities accurately.

Required profile

• Knowledge of firefighting procedures, emergency response, and fire safety regulations.
• Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plumbing systems.
• Physical fitness and ability to work under high‑stress, demanding conditions.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to act quickly in emergencies.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications in firefighting and plumbing, or equivalent practical experience; familiarity with local safety codes is a plus.
