Mechanical Tendering Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Tendering Engineer will support the preparation and submission of mechanical tender packages for piping and pressure‑vessel projects. The role combines on‑site engineering, welding supervision and detailed estimation to ensure compliant and competitive bids.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review mechanical tender documents, including cost estimates and technical specifications.
• Interpret and work with P&ID, piping isometric and general arrangement drawings.
• Perform on‑site engineering tasks and supervise welding activities for pipelines and pressure vessels.
• Ensure compliance with international mechanical codes such as ASTM, ASME and API.
• Coordinate with design teams using AutoCAD 2D and maintain data in Microsoft Excel.
• Support tender tracking and scheduling, preferably using Primavera P6.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1‑4 years of relevant experience, including site engineering and piping work.
• Good academic grade (not less than “Good”).
• Mandatory experience with piping systems, welding, and pressure vessels.
• Familiarity with international mechanical codes (ASTM, ASME, API).

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (advanced).
• AutoCAD 2D.
• P&ID and piping isometric drawing interpretation.
• Knowledge of piping components (pipes, valves, fittings).
• Welding supervision for pipelines and pressure vessels.
• Understanding of ASTM, ASME and API codes.
• Primavera P6 (preferred).
