Medical Claims Officer – Physicians Only

About the role

The Medical Claims Officer will manage daily claims administration for physician‑related cases, ensuring timely processing and compliance with eligibility rules. The role combines routine workflow coordination with data‑driven analysis to improve efficiency and reduce errors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage routine daily claims administration and coordinate workflow to meet deadlines.
• Evaluate claim eligibility and make decisions on high‑cost or complex cases following SOPs.
• Handle international pre‑authorization cases and direct billing with overseas providers.
• Respond to calls and emails from insurers, clients, and healthcare providers.
• Identify service‑improvement opportunities using AI‑based data analysis.
• Suggest and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and minimize errors.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Medicine (MBBS).
• At least 1 year of practical experience with UAE medical claims, DRG coding, or related insurance/broker/TPA work.
• Legal right to work in the country of operation.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and proficient internet research skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using AI software or tools for data analysis.
• Strong data‑analysis capabilities, including machine‑learning concepts.
• Knowledge of DRG coding and medical claim processing.
