MEP Design Engineer – Restaurant & Office Fit‑Out Projects

About the role

Americana Restaurants is seeking a qualified MEP Design Engineer to create mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs for restaurant and office fit‑out projects across the UAE. The role focuses on delivering compliant, cost‑effective solutions that align with project plans and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed MEP designs and Bill of Quantities (BOQs) according to the design team’s specifications.
• Generate high‑level and detailed cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits before design work and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Identify and propose value‑engineering options to reduce project costs.
• Review material submittals for compliance with specifications.
• Perform detailed reviews of shop drawings and conduct on‑site MEP inspections.
• Prepare inspection reports and ensure all designs follow Americana MEP guidelines and industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Electrical preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience as an MEP Design Engineer, preferably in retail, hospitality, or F&B environments.
• Ability to independently develop both mechanical and electrical design packages.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
