Procurement Buyer – Wind Turbine Site Procurement

About the role

The Procurement Buyer will support wind turbine site operations and maintenance by managing the sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of consumables, tools, PPE, and other operational materials. The role reports directly to the Regional Procurement Manager and requires frequent travel to the Ras Ghareb site or on‑site presence as project needs dictate.

Key responsibilities

• Handle procurement activities for wind turbine site operations and maintenance requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers for consumables, tools, PPE, calibration services, chemicals, and safety items.
• Coordinate procurement for major component replacement and urgent site material needs.
• Conduct supplier evaluation, commercial comparison, negotiation, and bid clarification.
• Collaborate with site, warehouse, logistics, and project management teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain compliance with company procurement procedures and project specifications.
• Support framework agreements and long‑term supplier relationships.
• Monitor delivery schedules, supplier performance, and prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and commercial evaluations.

Required profile

• Male candidate preferred due to site‑based operational requirements.
• 5–7 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in wind energy, heavy industrial, or EPC projects.
• Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast‑track project environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Good command of English.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
• Commercial negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with PPE procurement, calibration services, industrial chemicals, site tools and equipment, safety consumables, and spare parts for wind turbine maintenance.
