Projects Director – Construction

About the role

The Projects Director – Construction provides overall leadership and strategic direction for a portfolio of construction projects, ensuring safe, on‑time, on‑budget delivery that meets quality and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of multiple construction projects across the organization.
• Contribute to business planning, forecasting and resource allocation at the portfolio level.
• Oversee all project phases from mobilization through completion and hand‑over.
• Monitor progress, cost, quality and schedule performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Apply consistent construction standards, methodologies and best practices.
• Ensure projects meet client, contractual and quality requirements.
• Manage budgets, cash flow, cost control and financial reporting for the entire portfolio.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks to avoid delays, claims or overruns.
• Support commercial and contractual decisions in partnership with Contracts and Commercial teams.
• Lead, mentor and develop senior project managers and project staff, setting clear roles and performance objectives.
• Act as senior liaison for key clients, consultants and external stakeholders.
• Guarantee compliance with HSSE policies and sustainability procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience managing large, complex, multi‑project construction portfolios.
• Strong commercial, contractual and financial management expertise.
• Proven experience in EPC or large‑contractor environments.
