QA Engineer – Build Test Automation for Fintech

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑obsessed QA Engineer to lead quality initiatives in a fast‑moving fintech building Egypt’s digital lending future. As our first dedicated QA hire, you will embed testing practices across the product lifecycle and ensure a seamless experience for our users.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test suites for payment flows, loan calculations, and critical user paths using modern frameworks.
• Write API tests to catch integration issues early and build end‑to‑end tests for core business flows.
• Manage test data to keep sprints stable and ensure tests run quickly enough for developers to use them daily.
• Conduct exploratory and manual testing to uncover UX, edge‑case, and localization bugs across real devices and browsers.
• Participate in feature planning, define acceptance criteria, and create lightweight quality processes.
• Collaborate with developers, review pull requests for test coverage, and help debug production issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
• 3‑4 years of hands‑on QA/testing experience, preferably in a fintech or similar fast‑pace environment.
• Strong programming skills, especially in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with modern test frameworks and API testing tools.
