About the role
We are looking for a remote Physics Expert to support the evaluation of large language models by creating and solving advanced physics problems. This short‑term contract lasts 11 weeks and offers $346 per approved task.
Key responsibilities
- Design challenging undergraduate‑to‑PhD level physics problems for LLM benchmarking.
- Develop clear, step‑by‑step solutions with detailed reasoning and visual explanations.
- Collaborate with LLM researchers to define and refine evaluation benchmarks.
- Analyze complex physics scenarios using logical, structured approaches.
- Explain physics concepts in simple language, supported by visuals.
Required profile
- Master’s degree, Ph.D., or currently pursuing a Ph.D./post‑doctoral position in Physics, Applied Physics or a related field.
- Strong research, analytical and creative problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written communication and ability to work effectively in a remote team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with at least three of the following tools: QuTiP, OQuPy, QuSpin, TenPy, Strawberry Fields, openEMS, ngspice, Quantum ESPRESSO, OpenFOAM, FEniCS/FEniCSx (DOLFINx), WarpX, REBOUND, PYTHIA, Kwant, Elmer FEM, GF180MCU PDK, Sky130 PDK, FreeCAD, Project Chrono, Scilab Xcos, volare, emcee, Icarus Verilog, GTKWave, Verilator, gmsh, pyarmadillo, MeshLab.
What we offer
