Research and Development Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Research and Development Engineer to lead product innovation within our manufacturing environment. The role focuses on designing and developing sheet‑metal components for consumer‑goods applications, turning concepts into functional prototypes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3‑D models and engineering drawings using CAD tools.
• Design, prototype, and test sheet‑metal parts, ensuring manufacturability.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to refine designs and resolve technical issues.
• Document design specifications, test results, and compliance with industry standards.
• Stay updated on emerging materials and manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in research and development, preferably in manufacturing or consumer‑goods sectors.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design methodologies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CypCut.
• Hands‑on knowledge of sheet‑metal processes: bending, cutting, punching, and welding.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for sheet‑metal design.
