RMX Driver Coach

About the role

The RMX Driver Coach is responsible for overseeing driver safety and operational efficiency at the RMX Batch Plant. This role ensures compliance with health, safety, and road‑safety standards while delivering defensive‑driving training and monitoring driver performance.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce health and safety legislation, Lafarge safety standards, and promote a safety‑first culture.
• Lead investigations of major safety incidents and stop unsafe acts.
• Conduct weekly defensive‑driving training sessions for new and existing drivers.
• Coordinate medical examinations to confirm driver fitness for duty.
• Manage driver hiring, onboarding, attendance, engagement, and performance tracking.
• Issue driver cards and oversee the Drivers ID Keys process across sites.
• Perform monthly In‑Vehicle Monitoring System (Itqan) site visits with driver supervisors.
• Monitor and provide feedback on driving behavior, including harsh braking and rapid acceleration.
• Carry out weekly truck inspections and audits to identify vehicle defects.
• Track refresher‑training requirements and ensure completion.
• Participate in road‑incident investigations and support corrective actions.
