Senior Accountant – Shared Services (GCC)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead accounting operations across multiple GCC entities within a shared services centre. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS and internal controls while delivering SLA‑driven services to regional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end‑to‑end accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and provisions.
• Maintain and monitor General Ledger accuracy for several legal entities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in line with IFRS and internal policies.
• Collaborate with AP, AR and other finance teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.
• Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations and eliminations.
• Support fixed‑asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation and disposals.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, resolve discrepancies and uphold strong financial controls.
• Provide regional finance stakeholders with data, analysis and responses, supporting local statutory and compliance requirements.
• Operate within a high‑volume shared services environment, meeting defined SLAs and contributing to process standardisation.
• Process transactions and reporting using ERP systems, primarily SAP, and support automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA or CMA is an advantage.
• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in shared services or high‑volume finance operations.
• Experience supporting multi‑country or regional finance operations; GCC exposure is a plus.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and internal accounting policies.
• Fluency in English.
