Senior HVAC Design Engineer (Cairo)

About the role

ARX is seeking a Senior HVAC Design Engineer to join its Cairo office. You will lead the mechanical design team on large‑scale infrastructure and building projects, ensuring high‑quality HVAC solutions that meet safety and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the mechanical design team for underground structures, metro stations, tunnels and large facilities.
• Oversee HVAC system design, ensuring reliability, code compliance and energy efficiency.
• Provide technical direction and integrate HVAC designs with architectural, structural and electrical disciplines.
• Collaborate with clients, authorities and contractors to clarify requirements and support approvals.
• Drive value‑engineering initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
• Perform and validate heat‑load calculations, create CAD/Revit layouts, and select equipment such as AHUs and chillers.
• Prepare submittals, technical documentation and material take‑offs.

Required profile

• Mechanical engineer with more than 10 years of experience in HVAC design for major infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design teams.
• Strong knowledge of international and local building codes.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and support the approval process.
