Senior Legal Counsel Corporate & Institutional Banking

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide expert legal support to our Corporate & Institutional Banking division. The role will work across multiple business units, ensuring that all activities align with the bank’s legal risk appetite, internal policies, and regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver legal services for corporate banking, transaction banking, credit, finance, and international branch queries.
• Assist the bank in defining and implementing its legal risk strategy.
• Advise management teams on legal implications of business decisions.
• Support the C&IB legal function with high‑quality, commercially focused advice.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks, initiating corrective actions when needed.
• Manage relationships with external counsel, overseeing service quality and cost effectiveness.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international law firm or banking sector.
• Strong understanding of local and international banking regulations.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with business units and senior stakeholders.
