Senior MEP Construction Manager

About the role

The Senior MEP Construction Manager leads and coordinates all electromechanical construction activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, to specification, and meet quality and safety standards. The role works closely with contractors, design consultants and the project management team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all electromechanical construction activities across assigned projects.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and other disciplines for smooth execution.
• Monitor project progress, provide updates, identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure works meet quality standards and project requirements.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental policies on site.
• Advise on method statements, shop drawings and material submittals.
• Support procurement activities, including technical evaluations and vendor selection.
• Oversee testing and commissioning processes and ensure proper handover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years experience in electrotechnical construction, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Strong experience in large‑scale construction projects (industrial, commercial, residential or infrastructure).
• Proven experience managing HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Solid knowledge of construction methodologies, codes and standards.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
