Senior Network Support Engineer (On-site)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Network Support Engineer to work on‑site at a customer location. The engineer will design, implement, and maintain Cisco‑based network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance while collaborating closely with the client’s IT team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and deploy LAN, WAN and WLAN solutions using Cisco switching and routing technologies.
• Provide expert‑level troubleshooting, fault isolation and resolution for Cisco routers, switches and firewalls.
• Perform network diagnostics, monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Maintain device configurations, routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and ensure firmware is up‑to‑date and secure.
• Implement QoS, traffic shaping and other optimisation techniques to improve network efficiency.
• Collaborate with the client’s IT staff to align network strategy with business objectives and deliver knowledge transfer.
• Document topology diagrams, configuration changes, troubleshooting procedures and change‑management logs.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of hands‑on experience with Cisco network devices.
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies, routing protocols and IP addressing.
• CCNP certification strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to work on‑site and communicate effectively with client teams.
