Senior Network Support Engineer (Resident)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Network Support Engineer to work onsite at a customer location. The resident engineer will partner with the client’s IT team to design, implement, and maintain Cisco‑based network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and deploy Cisco switching and routing solutions for LAN, WAN and WLAN environments.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform root‑cause analysis and resolve escalated incidents promptly.
• Maintain and upgrade Cisco routers, switches and firewalls, applying latest firmware and security patches.
• Monitor network performance, implement QoS and traffic‑shaping policies, and optimise bandwidth utilization.
• Produce detailed documentation, topology diagrams, change‑management logs and provide knowledge transfer to client staff.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of hands‑on experience with Cisco network devices and enterprise networking.
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies, routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and switching features (VLAN, STP, EtherChannel).
• Proven ability to work independently onsite and collaborate with client IT teams.
• CCNP certification strongly preferred.
