Site Manager - Phosphate Mining Operations

About the role

Genesis Mining is looking for an experienced Geology or Mining Engineer to lead daily operations at its phosphate mining site in Edfu, Aswan. The role focuses on ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with HSE, quality, and production standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily mining activities and guarantee adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
• Manage and coordinate a workforce of more than 100 personnel.
• Supervise and optimise a mining fleet of over 60 pieces of equipment.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximise output and operational efficiency.
• Monitor production targets, budgets, and timelines to meet company objectives.
• Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to site staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of phosphate mining processes and equipment management.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and decision‑making abilities.
• Proven ability to thrive in challenging, remote environments.
