Student Life Specialist

About the role

The Student Life Specialist supports and enriches the overall student experience at the university. This role focuses on driving student engagement, retention, and academic success through active participation in campus activities and efficient administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in and support university activities that enhance student engagement and retention.
• Handle general administrative duties such as welcoming visitors, responding to inquiries, managing files, and maintaining office supplies.
• Recruit, train, and supervise student assistants in the Student Life Office and Recreation Room.
• Assist with department budgeting, monitor expenses, and process purchase requests.
• Maintain and regularly update the main campus event calendars.
• Keep accurate records for the Student Service Fee Advisory Committee.
• Coordinate facility booking requests in collaboration with the Master Calendar Coordinator.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by management within the same specialty.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• High level of organization, attention to detail, and time‑management skills.
• Analytical mindset with proven problem‑solving capabilities.
