About the role
The Treasury Accountant will oversee cash flow management, banking relationships, and financial risk activities for the organization. This role ensures liquidity is maintained, treasury transactions are accurately recorded, and all activities comply with internal policies and regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor daily cash positions and guarantee sufficient liquidity for operations.
- Prepare short‑term and long‑term cash‑flow forecasts.
- Execute bank transactions, including payments, transfers, and reconciliations.
- Maintain and develop relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage loan schedules, interest calculations, and debt repayments.
- Process and record treasury‑related journal entries.
- Support foreign‑currency transactions and hedging activities.
- Assist in the preparation of cash and treasury reports for month‑end and year‑end closing.
- Monitor banking fees and identify cost‑optimisation opportunities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in treasury, accounting, or finance functions.
- Strong understanding of cash management, banking operations, and trade payments.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Required skills
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
