Senior GL Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior GL Accountant to lead a high‑performing team of two accountants. You will be responsible for overseeing statutory reporting, consolidation, and audit processes for multiple entities while ensuring compliance with Egyptian GAAP and IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and issuance of statutory financial statements for six entities and consolidated statements.
• Oversee quarterly IFRS group reporting packs and board reporting requirements.
• Coordinate the external audit process, including interim and year‑end audits.
• Supervise fixed‑asset and intangible‑asset lifecycle management across all entities.
• Lead month‑end close, trial‑balance validation, payroll reconciliations, and foreign‑currency revaluations.
• Maintain and update GL, bank, and asset procedures, and ensure internal controls are followed.
• Implement anti‑corruption, antitrust, and HSE policies, and conduct due‑diligence activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior accounting roles, preferably within a multi‑entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian accounting standards and IFRS.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small accounting team.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
