WASH Internship – Cairo, Egypt (16 weeks)

About the role

The UNICEF Egypt WASH team is looking for a motivated intern to support operational and coordination activities over a 16‑week period in Cairo. You will gain hands‑on experience in proposal editing, reporting, supply tracking and inter‑agency engagement while learning how UNICEF’s WASH programmes align with national priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Edit and format project proposals, concept notes and briefing documents.
• Prepare and edit reports, presentations and other communication materials.
• Update tracking tools and contribute to supply status reporting, including delivery documentation.
• Assist in organising meetings, workshops and training sessions, handling logistics and participant coordination.
• Take meeting minutes and monitor follow‑up actions.
• Support communication and coordination with partner organisations and inter‑agency groups.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within 2 years) from an undergraduate or graduate programme.
• Relevant fields of study: Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Management, Environmental Science, Climate Change, International Development, Public Policy, Business Administration or Supply Chain.
