Accounts Receivable Accountant

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Accountant at CEQUENS supports the management of the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payment processing and account reconciliation. The role helps support the company's cash flow and financial stability by following up on overdue accounts and works closely with the finance team so that billing processes are accurate and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor incoming payments, verify and post receipts, and keep the billing system up to date
• Maintain customer accounts and follow up on overdue payments
• Resolve billing and customer credit issues directly with customers
• Keep accounts receivable files and records, and produce monthly financial and management reports
• Investigate and resolve irregularities in the accounts receivable ledger
• Assist in forecasting cash flow from accounts receivable and in collecting payments on time to minimise bad debt
• Help develop and implement accounts receivable policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in an accounts receivable role or a similar financial position in the telecommunications or SaaS technology industry
• Experience collecting on more than 100 client accounts at once
• Hands-on experience collecting debt by phone calls and email, not just administrative work

Required skills

• Familiarity with accounting software and systems
• Strong understanding of billing and financial procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ideal: knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and databases
• Numerical and analytical abilities, good organisation and time management, and effective communication with customers about billing and collections
