Airport Service Duty Officer

About the role

We are looking for an Airport Service Duty Officer to join our Ground Services team in Cairo. The officer will control the shift, coordinate airport sections and ensure safe, punctual Qatar Airways operations.

Key responsibilities

• Control the shift and monitor activities of all airport sections.
• Coordinate with airport service providers and internal departments to ensure punctuality and safety.
• Conduct spot‑checks to maintain operational standards.
• Resolve passenger and customer complaints in liaison with Customer Relations.
• Brief shift and GHA supervisors and compile detailed handling reports for the Airport Duty Manager.
• Manage petty cash, track expenditures and prepare monthly financial and statistical reports.
• Perform Aircraft Turnaround Checks (ATC) and operate cabin service doors when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in an airline or reputable GHA at a supervisory level.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and travel to out‑stations as needed.
• High level computer literacy.
• Right to live and work in Egypt.

• Ramp handling expertise.
• Dangerous Goods Regulations knowledge.
• Aviation safety and security procedures (ICAO/IATA).
• Understanding of Qatar Airways Conditions of Carriage.
• Computer literacy (e.g., MS Office).
