American Diploma English Teacher

About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for a dedicated and experienced American Diploma English Teacher to join its educational team. The teacher delivers high-quality instruction aligned with the American Diploma curriculum to support students' academic achievement and personal growth. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English language lessons following American Diploma standards
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that meet curriculum objectives and cater to different learning styles
• Assess and evaluate students regularly through tests, assignments and projects, giving constructive feedback
• Create a supportive, inclusive classroom that encourages participation and academic excellence
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum delivery and development
• Communicate with parents about student progress, achievements and areas for improvement
• Take part in professional development to keep up with subject knowledge and teaching methods

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education or a related field
• Teaching certification and experience delivering the American Diploma curriculum
• Strong command of English and literature, able to inspire and engage students
• Experience teaching high school students preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents and colleagues
• Knowledge of current educational best practices and innovative teaching strategies
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and teamwork
