Annotation Guidelines Specialist Internship

About the role

Smart Eye is looking for an enthusiastic intern to support the creation and maintenance of annotation guidelines that power its Human Insight AI solutions. You will work closely with product owners, developers, data engineers, and quality assurance leads to ensure annotation processes are clear, consistent, and aligned with business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, updating, and version‑controlling annotation guideline documents.
• Gather and document annotation examples, edge cases, and stakeholder requirements.
• Create proof‑of‑concepts (PoCs) to test new annotation approaches and tool configurations.
• Validate classes, labels, and tags used throughout the annotation workflow.
• Support training sessions for annotators and other teams, answering basic guideline questions.
• Collect annotator feedback and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with the QA lead to identify annotation risks and monitor data quality.
• Participate in requirement clarification meetings with product owners and developers.
