Applications & Architecture Specialist

About the role

ABB is looking for an Applications & Architecture Specialist to support its ELDS Manufacturing Plants in Egypt. You will apply IT expertise to design, implement, and maintain critical business applications and integration services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, manage, and optimise information systems services across the assigned area.
• Identify inefficiencies, report improvement opportunities, and support version upgrades.
• Architect, configure, and support interfaces, integrations, and data transfers between systems.
• Design and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) and User Access Management (UAM) processes.
• Investigate and resolve application, connectivity, and access‑related issues in collaboration with business users, infrastructure teams, and vendors.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science (Master preferred) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Experience in application support, administration, or IT operations and knowledge of system integrations, APIs, and hosting environments.

Required skills

• SQL, SFTP, RPGLe, Java, Python, PHP, C++, C, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) and User Access Management (UAM) concepts.
• Understanding of system integrations, interfaces, APIs, and data transfer processes.
