Area Supervisor - Scanning Operations

About the role

The Area Supervisor – Scanning Operations leads the field scanning team responsible for supermarkets and pharmacy accounts. You will ensure high operational standards, data accuracy, and team productivity while coordinating with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily scanning schedules and route optimisation across assigned areas.
• Lead, coach and supervise on‑ground scanners, monitoring attendance, productivity and KPIs.
• Build and maintain operational trackers and dashboards using Google Sheets and Excel.
• Analyse performance data and create action plans to improve scanning efficiency and accuracy.
• Conduct regular audits of scanned data, pricing and catalogue completeness.
• Ensure supermarket and pharmacy content is up‑to‑date and meets operational standards.
• Manage item creation, updates and maintenance based on scanning inflow.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to resolve operational issues.
• Prepare structured reports for management on performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Perform field visits to verify compliance with schedules and quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years experience in supermarkets, pharmacies, FMCG or retail operations.
• Minimum 2 + years experience managing blue‑collar teams and field operations.
• Strong people‑management, coaching and performance‑management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Intermediate English communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Google Sheets (formulas, dashboards, tracking systems).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, reporting, data analysis).
