Assistant Cost Manager - Real Estate

About the role

Turner & Townsend is recruiting Egyptian nationals based in Cairo to join its Real Estate team. Assistant Cost Managers support the team on projects of varying size and complexity, from pre-contract to construction completion, and take responsibility for allocated tasks so that client objectives are met through an effective cost management service.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Cost Management team and take responsibility for allocated tasks.
• Help deliver excellent service to clients, build their trust and enhance the firm's reputation.
• Ensure client objectives are met through an effective cost management service from pre-contract to construction completion.
• Measure building works.
• Take personal responsibility for the work produced.
• Assist the team in producing accurate and timely information and reports.
• Interact professionally with team members.

Required profile

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a similar field.
• 0-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of the construction industry.
• Professional approach and confidence in adding value to the team.
• Ability to work with others and accept instruction in a team environment.
• Willingness to listen, learn and develop skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Real Estate / Property sector.
• Knowledge of the Cost Management / Quantity Surveying profession.
• Basic experience in measuring building works and preparing Bills of Quantities.
