Assistant Store Manager - Children's Fashion

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in running daily store operations and delivering a smooth, family-friendly shopping experience in children's fashion. The role drives sales, manages staff performance, keeps visual merchandising standards high and ensures operational excellence, acting as a role model for the team.

Key responsibilities

• Sales and business support: help achieve store sales targets and KPIs (UPT, ATV, conversion, retention), lead by example on the sales floor, analyse sales reports and run promotions and seasonal launches effectively.
• Customer experience: create a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, handle escalated concerns, support clienteling with repeat and VIP customers and ensure consistent service.
• Team leadership: assist in supervising, coaching and recruiting Fashion Advisors and Senior Advisors, manage schedules and attendance, and give feedback on sales techniques and styling.
• Operations and compliance: oversee opening/closing, POS transactions and cash handling; receive deliveries, replenish shelves and count stock; comply with policies, loss prevention and child-safety standards; keep the store clean and organised.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Age up to 35 years old.
• Good English.

Required skills

• Retail KPIs and sales analysis (UPT, ATV, conversion, retention)
• POS and transaction handling, including cash reconciliation and digital payments
• Inventory control and shrinkage prevention
• Visual merchandising for children's fashion
• MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM use
• Knowledge of hygiene, safety and child-friendly retail standards
