Associated Project Manager - Grid Integration (HV Substations)

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY TECHNOLOGY S.A.E. is looking for an Associated Project Manager for its grid integration projects, focused on High Voltage Substations. The role supports the Project Manager in delivering HV substation projects from handover through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, commissioning and final handover, coordinating with customers, engineering teams, suppliers, factories and site personnel to meet safety, quality, cost, schedule and customer satisfaction targets.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in planning, executing, monitoring and closing HV substation projects.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics and site activities for timely delivery.
• Monitor schedules, milestones, risks and deliverables and follow up on critical actions.
• Interface with customers, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Track costs, variations, claims and invoicing with finance and commercial teams.
• Manage project documentation, progress reporting and contractual correspondence.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning and handover, and ensure compliance with contracts, technical specs, quality standards and HSE regulations.
• Identify risks and opportunities and support mitigation plans.
• Prepare project status reports and present progress updates to management and customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in HV/EHV substation projects, power systems or EPC projects.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management training is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of substation primary and secondary systems, protection and control, SAS/SCADA and communication systems.
• Project management principles, scheduling, cost control and risk management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
