Beauty Category Manager – Duty Free (Cairo)

About the role

The Beauty Category Manager will own the beauty portfolio at Cairo Airport duty‑free, driving strategy, margin and brand relationships. This commercial role combines category planning, negotiation and on‑site execution to deliver strong performance across skincare, makeup and fragrance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the category strategy and business plan for beauty brands, aligning with brand positioning and budget targets.
• Source, onboard and manage contracts for new and existing brands, negotiating commercial agreements, trading terms and advertising space.
• Drive category P&L: monitor spend, optimise margin and report performance against targets.
• Set pricing policy by benchmarking competitors and duty‑free markets, recommending adjustments as needed.
• Manage stock efficiency through forecasting, order cycle control and space allocation.
• Plan and execute the annual promotions calendar, coordinating launches, activations, displays and animations with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Logistics and suppliers.
• Prepare periodic category reviews and benchmark performance against the market.
• Spend time onsite with weekly airport visits to ensure execution aligns with strategy.

Required profile

• 3–5 years experience as a Category Manager, Brand Manager or high‑performing Sales Manager with strong commercial depth.
• Background in luxury or premium retail and familiarity with international beauty brands.
• Proven vendor and account management experience, including negotiation with beauty brands or distributors.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) for daily interaction with international brand teams.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to defend pricing and margin positions.
