Building & Facility Management Technician

About the role

The Building & Facility Management Technician supports daily civil and fire‑protection maintenance across Light Rail Transit (LRT) stations and associated buildings. Working closely with Facility Management Engineers, the role ensures reliable operations, timely repairs, and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Facility Management Engineers with daily maintenance tasks and roster planning.
• Diagnose faults and execute repair actions for painting, plumbing, gypsum, metal, concrete, masonry, fire‑protection, and tiling work.
• Monitor fire‑protection subcontractors, apply checklists, and ensure equipment reliability.
• Oversee housekeeping activities at the LRT Bader Depot.
• Manage tools and spare‑part inventory, reporting shortages promptly.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly statistical maintenance reports.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations and promote a safety‑first culture.

Required profile

• Vocational diploma or relevant degree.
• 3–5 years of experience in civil, mechanical, or electrical maintenance, preferably in metro or train stations.
• Strong knowledge of civil and facility repair works.
• Good listening skills, teamwork, and ability to communicate with staff at all levels.
• Analytical mindset, problem‑solving ability, and self‑drive.
