Plumber

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a full‑time Plumber to join the facilities team at its Ritz‑Carlton property in Cairo. The successful candidate will ensure the reliable operation of all plumbing systems, respond quickly to service requests, and support preventative maintenance programs.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix minor plumbing issues such as clogged drains and leaking fixtures.
• Assemble, cut, thread, and bend pipe sections, tubing, and fittings to required angles.
• Perform pressure tests with water or air to locate leaks.
• Review blueprints, building codes, and specifications to plan installations and repairs.
• Install, maintain, and repair pipe assemblies, valves, appliances, and fixtures.
• Carry out routine preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, report hazards, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect company assets, and respect confidentiality.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant plumbing experience.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver objects up to 75 lb and assist with heavier items when needed.
• Willingness to work on ladders, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring bending, twisting, and stooping.

Required skills

• Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator License.
• Plumber Certification.
