Center Physician – Plasma Donation Center

About the role

The Center Physician (CP) leads the medical team at the plasma donation center, ensuring donor safety and plasma quality under the supervision of the Center Manager and the Plasma Operations and Medical Director.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee donor selection and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct physical examinations, obtain informed consent, and counsel donors on high‑risk behaviors.
• Manage adverse donor reactions and coordinate care for donors testing positive for infectious diseases.
• Review laboratory results (SPE, syphilis, total protein) and approve or defer donors accordingly.
• Certify, train, and re‑certify medical staff, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with the training department.
• Monitor QA reports, recommend SOP improvements, and ensure adherence to cGMP and good documentation practices.

Required profile

• Medical degree (Bachelor of Medicine); postgraduate studies preferred.
• Clinical experience in donor assessment, plasma collection, or related fields.
• Ability to work independently with the Plasma Donor System (PDS) and interpret laboratory data.
