Chief Accountant – Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are looking for a Chief Accountant to lead the finance function of a luxury hotel within the Accor network. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, controlling costs, and supporting strategic decisions in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
• Develop annual budgets, monitor variances, and provide financial forecasts to senior management.
• Implement cost‑control measures across departments such as F&B and Rooms, and ensure proper inventory control.
• Establish strong internal controls, coordinate internal and external audits, and ensure tax compliance.
• Produce financial reports and analysis to support profitability and cash‑flow management.
• Lead, train and mentor the accounting team, fostering a professional and ethical work environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA) preferred.
• 7‑10 years of accounting experience, including 3‑5 years in hospitality or luxury hotels.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight month‑end and year‑end deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel accounting systems such as Opera or Sun.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
