Chief Accounting Officer – Finance & Reporting Lead

About the role

The Chief Accounting Officer will head the finance function for Tiba Perfumes, overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This senior position reports directly to senior management and plays a key role in strategic financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day accounting activities, including General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Payroll and Inventory.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes, journal approvals and reconciliations.
• Supervise import and trade accounting, coordinating with procurement, logistics and customs.
• Oversee treasury, cash management, bank reconciliations and foreign‑currency transactions.
• Develop and enforce internal control policies, ensuring segregation of duties and risk mitigation.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Lead, coach and develop the accounting team across multiple functions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in a manufacturing or consumer goods environment.
• Proven track record managing large accounting teams and complex month‑end cycles.
• Strong understanding of import costing, inventory valuation and treasury operations.
• Excellent analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
