Civil Technician – Railway Infrastructure Maintenance

About the role

The Civil Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing civil and arrangement systems across multiple railway sites, including depots and stations. The role involves regular inspections, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of bridges, tunnels, buildings, floors, walls, ceilings, doors and other civil assets.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance, replace worn parts, and execute emergency repairs on tiles, walls, doors and drainage systems.
• Supervise service providers and contractors, ensuring adherence to the Preventive Maintenance (PM) plan.
• Maintain accurate records, daily logs and detailed reports of inspections, maintenance activities and asset conditions.
• Utilize Maximo for tracking inspections, maintenance tasks and asset management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3‑5 years of civil maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in Arabic (essential) and good English communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple locations on Line 3 stations and depots, including after‑hours work.
• Strong attention to detail, safety‑focused mindset and ability to mentor service providers.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with civil maintenance tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of railway infrastructure maintenance processes.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management systems, specifically Maximo.
• Ability to write simple technical reports and maintain accurate documentation.
